About Our Establishment

In the heart of magnificent rural Northumberland off the A697 road, only 6 miles north of Morpeth, you will find The Anglers Arms. A truly traditional 1760's coaching inn - nestling by the River Coquet beside picturesque Weldon Bridge.

From the moment you walk in through the door you will be impressed by the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Its log fires take the chill off any inclement weather. With a wealth of history and reputation behind it, The Anglers Arms is full of character and surprises.

The food at the Anglers Arms is superb. The popular bar meals are "English Country Inn" at its very best. Dine in style and sophistication in the Pullman railway carriage or restaurant.  Weddings and other family or business functions are catered for in our spacious function room and with our wedding license, you can even hold your wedding ceremony in the Inn.

Use the Anglers as the perfect base for walking in the Cheviot Hills or on the sandy beaches, such as Warkworth or Bamburgh, for visiting the famous Northumberland Castles, for playing Golf at several local courses and for fishing on our own private one mile stretch of river. Whether you just want to call in for a refreshing cold drink or coffee, have a relaxing dinner and stay overnight, or join us for a week, you will not be disappointed.

Your hosts will be John & Julie Young, a husband and wife partnership who will be only too pleased to cater to your every need.
